But it was worth it. I can't barely write, since my right hand, wrist and arm are hurting like hell... But once again, it was worth it.
Because i think this art is one the best i have ever drawn, and put into colours.
And this was possible because of who asked me to draw and color this cover for his fanfiction "The Cursed Crusade", that you can read here : www.fanfiction.net/s/12315326/…
11... ELEVEN hours of work on this little piece of artwork... I need to sleep.
Good night my dear friends,
See you soon !
Nice work by the way
I know this is Zootopia, though each time I see a Templar, and dressed like what Judy is wearing I can't help but think "Assassin's Creed"
This is awesome, I am so jelous of your backdrop! Good show! ^w^ Wouldnt it be cool if they did a 'Robin Hood' styled spin off like they did Zootopia?! It almost fits the lore!
Really though, is this necessary? I mean I'm just saying this cause maybe you haven't really thought about it yet.
Yes, the colorisation process is really low, mostly due to the fact that i have to work with a mouse because i don't have a graphic tablet.
Sorry, just passing by and noticed your comment, may I add something?
Spear beets swords: I don't think it's true, spears are thrusting weapons, which means the threat only comes from one angle, making it easier to counter it. Moreover, if you get in a closer range, the spear become useless and it's use prevent you from carrying a shield. It's also said that good samourais were able to cut spears with their katana. Overall it was more used by inexperienced soldiers because it was easy to learn how to use it and it allowed the user to keep a 'safe distance' from his opponent... And that it was good against horses.
Longsword vs Katana there are other advantages for the longsword that just the length (that is already enough to ensure victory for a sword wielder) there is also the guard: Katanas have small guards that are more decorative than anything while longswords have massive guards that protect their hands.
Also, samurai's fighting style ask the wielder to dodge an incoming attack and then ripost while the longswords can be used to block an attack. In a fight of skilled fighter, if you have to use your katana to parry (which is pretty much likely to happen), you may end up damaging the blade and make it lose its sharpness or worse, break it.
Now it is true that europeans sword were less sharp than katana but they were already sharp enough to cut someone in half so it wasn’t needed to make them sharper. Also they had other advantages that allowed them to pierce the best armor we had (while a katana would bounce or break against it) but I won’t talk about it or I may spoil the fanfic ^^
I hope the small lesson didn't bothered you
i know, about the other stuff long sword, it's just that, when ever you see Longsword vs Katana, it's always the smallest Longsword, and they never talk about how sword fighting works
the samurai is the person with the blade, the reason i talked about the Katana is because people say it's the best sword and beats the Longsword easy, where i seen people who use sword say, no long swords would win in a fight, where the samurai vs the knight is something in it self
when i said the sword could be longer, because it is small for what knights used but i do think i went over the top, as Nick has 2 handed swords, where Judy is using shield, so she would be better off with the shield, if anything, Nick using 2 swords is far worse, it has been proven that people using 2 swords was more of a game, because it made it harder to fight, but that's in the story, and i love silly things like that in sorties X3
i did learn things, and i do love learning things, sorry if i missed understood something, i am dyslexic
Let's see, how do you count a victory swordsman vs spearman nowaday? I think it's something like 'if you get touched you lose' right? But in truth in a real fight, you wouldn't mind having the wooden part of the spear touches you, worse, you could grab it with one hand and uses your sword with the other. Also, if you wear an armor spear won't do as many damage as a sword (we're talking about spears right? Not polearm?)
Then, regarding the length of the sword it all depend of the ear ^^ at first we had one handed swords, then bastard swords, then longswords and then greatswords. If you compare our first swords then yeah, they were shorters.
And why did I spoke about samourai? Because you could have the best weapon of the world, if you don't know how to use it then someone with a kitchen knife is more dangerous than you.
Judy's sword is a one handed one (I don't know if you've read the fic) she rely a lot on her shield and counter. She doesn't need a longer sword. As for dual wielding it was indeed used during war. I don't really want to explain right now how and why but let's just say that their is a reason Nick has a falchion and a bastard sword instead of two swords of the same length. But yeah ^^ always better when you take a little freedom to write
It seems you have understood pretty much everything I said ^^ which isn't bad considering I'm not perfectly bilingue
